DESCRIPTION

Modified Bis-F Novolac epoxy laminating resin designed for high temperature industrial tooling applications. Mildly thixotropic material will not drain when used with heavy tooling fabrics. Excellent physical properties after post curing. Highly resistant to crystallization in cold environments. Rhino 1337 is solvent-free, 100% solids, and DOT non-regulated.

SUGGESTED USES

Hand lay up laminating, tooling and pattern work (Designed to be used with Rhino 3137 hardener and cured at elevated temperatures).

Viscosity: 11,000 – 12,000 cps
EEW: 180 – 185
Color: Translucent clear-amber

Recommend Rhino 1337 be used between 65° – 85°F (product and ambient temperatures). Remove all surface contaminates such as water, dirt, rust, and petroleum products. Mold surfaces must be waxed or otherwise “released” prior to epoxy application. All Rhino curing agents are compatible with Rhino 1337, however the material is generally used with Rhino 3137 hardener. Proportion resin and hardener in accordance with the selected Rhino hardener. Mix resin and hardener for 3 – 5 minutes being certain to scrape the bottom and sides of the mixing container. Mix no material than may be applied before the expiration of the pot life.

Rhino 1337 cures overnight at typical ambient temperatures (65° – 85°F) with full properties developing in 7 days, see hardener data for specific cure schedules and properties. Note that high temperature applications generally require a post cure schedule.
